Experience the excitement and unpredictability of Raku firing! Join us on Saturday, September 19th, from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM for a unique day of pottery, fire, and creative exploration. Firing takes place at Peter Syak’s home studio. We’ll meet at the studio at 8:30 AM and carpool to Bloomfield, NJ for the firing. Raku is a fast, hands-on firing process that creates dramatic colors, metallic effects, crackled surfaces, and one-of-a-kind finishes—no two pieces will ever turn out exactly alike! The event cost includes Raku glazes and firing materials, but does not include clay or studio time. Participants are responsible for creating and preparing their pieces before the event. Non-members who would like to create and fire their pieces at the studio will need to purchase an additional studio membership. Space is limited, so reserve your spot and get ready for a memorable day of fire, creativity, and unexpected results!

Snuggle up for a sweet creative morning at the studio in SPANISH! Our Storytime event combines the magic of a beloved children’s book with the fun of painting a piece of pottery together. We’ll gather to read a story, then little artists (with help from their grown-ups) will paint their own pottery piece inspired by the book. Adults are not required to purchase a ticket.

Paint your own beautiful ceramic planter, then put your luck to the test with several rounds of plant-themed bingo for a chance to win a variety of gorgeous plants from Dreyer Farms. Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or just starting your collection, this is the perfect night out with friends or a relaxing solo creative escape. Your registration includes: One small plant from Dreyer’s One ceramic planter to paint Multiple rounds of Plant Bingo Chances to win plants and prizes from Dreyer Farms and Fire Me Up! Studio No experience is necessary—just bring your love of plants and creativity!
