In-person event held at the library for children ages 4 to 6 with a caregiver. Hello parents, caregivers and kids! Join the Children's librarian team for our fall preschool-aged storytime session! We will have funny stories, silly songs, lots of movement and fingerplays, plus a short craft at the end. Registering for the entire 8-week session required; we appreciate trying to attend as many as you can! Register each child who will be attending (adults accompanying the children do not need to register). The program will take place in the children's room. Program runs about 45 minutes.
Hey kids! What does crafts + afternoon equal? Why, crafternoon of course! Kids are invited to make a fun seasonal craft. No registration required, just come and join us! Program will be held upstairs in the auditorium. For ages 4 and up.
Connect with K’NEX! Children are invited to come and build with the K'NEX building toys this afternoon. Tables in the children's room will be set up with lots of connectors, clips, rods, and wheels for kids to build with on their own. See what you can create! Drop in. Children 8 and under must have a caregiver remain in the room with them for the program.
Home for the fall break and looking for something to do? Families are welcomed to join us for our evening Sleepytime Tales "Pajama" storytime! Join the children's librarians while we read some funny bedtime-themed story books, plus sing some songs and do fingerplays, (and maybe getting a little silly!) all to help the kids get in the mood for a good night's sleep. Kids are welcome to wear their pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal if they’d like. Program will take place in the Children's Room and runs about a half-hour. For kids up to age 8 with a parent/caregiver.
Children and their caregivers are invited to drop by the library and color. Make some awesome pictures to take home. Tables will be set up with lots of crayons and many new coloring pages you can choose. Program takes place in the Children's Room. No registration, just stop by!

Diamond painting is another form of "paint by numbers" that lets kids create a sparkling design and helps develop skills like focus and fine motor coordination. Recommended for ages 8-12. Program will take place in Room B. Registration required.

Reading to a therapy dog can be a wonderful opportunity for kids to practice their reading skills and gain confidence in a safe and non-judgmental environment. We invite you to sign up to read to a dog certified with Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs! Recommended for kids age 5-12. Program will take place upstairs in Room B. Registration is required.

Learn how to identify twelve birds native to New Jersey through fun interactive games. Then create a custom seed mix to attract your favorite birds. Recommended for ages 5-10. Program will take place in the auditorium. Registration is required.
