We’ll be selling books about art, cooking, crafts & hobbies, fashion, photography, music and more, along with DVD box sets and vinyl, plus puzzles and children’s books—all in gift-worthy condition at 50 to 75% off original retail prices. Cash, checks, Apple Pay and credit/debit cards are all accepted. All proceeds benefit the Ferguson Library’s programs and services.

Enjoy musical performances by singer Valentina Etchebest of Argentina, musician Clodomiro Falcón of Venezuela, singer-songwriter Jei Santander of Colombia, the INTEMPO Youth Choir and the musical ensemble featuring Ecuadorian composer, pianist, accordionist, arranger and orchestrator Paco Godoy, David Durrell on bass and Walter Custodio on percussion. This concert will be performed to honor the victims of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia. All ages. Refreshments will be served. Presented in partnership with En Vivo con Maricarmen, Stamford Arts & Culture Commission, the Mayor’s Multicultural Council, La Voz Hispana de Connecticut, Stamford's Committee for Peace and Ladi’s Beauty Salon with support from the International Alliance of VIP Chaplains and Miss Guatemala CT.

Maria Marchetti, chef and owner of Columbus Park Trattoria in Stamford, will demonstrate how to prepare cavatelli using the library's mobile kitchen. Teens and adults. Registration required. Maria Marchetti is known for her restaurant’s homemade pasta, which she makes for Columbus Park as well as the Marchetti family’s two other restaurants, Osteria Applausi in Greenwich and Tarantino's in Westport. In addition to making all the pasta by hand, she does private parties in people’s homes and teaches cooking classes. Marchetti was born in Gravina, Puglia, in southern Italy, and has brought the flavors from her town to the U.S. along with a few simple rules she follows at the restaurants: Dishes must be made with simple and fresh ingredients, and all customers must be treated like family. Presented in partnership with UNICO National and Columbus Park Trattoria.
