, Mark your calendars for the last Saturday of every month! May through November, the Green-House is opening its classroom space for free, drop-in fun for visitors of all ages. Expect two themed hands-on activities that will help you explore the art, history, or nature of Green-Wood! Each gathering will offer something different, but whether you’re designing a monument, investigating a nature discovery table, or crafting a masterpiece, the goal remains the same: to spark curiosity and help families connect with each other and the Cemetery. Price: Free Register The Green-House (see details below) For this Last Saturdays’ art project, we’ll be creating ink prints using plant material harvested from Jean Shin’s installation Offering. Participation is free, registration is recommended so we can get a rough headcount. Know Before You Go: Tickets: No registration required. Drop in and join us. Seating and activities are first come, first served. All ages, recommended for 5+ and caregivers. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. , Credit: Green-Wood Staff Hop on board our cozy, warm trolley for an expert-led tour of Green-Wood’s historic landscape and some of the Cemetery’s most intriguing permanent residents. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned explorer, this is your chance to experience 478 acres of art, history, and nature. Walk in the footsteps of George Washington and his troops during the Battle of Brooklyn; visit the grave of Jean-Michel Basquiat, one of America’s greatest artists; and discover so much more! Before Purchasing A Ticket, Please Note: Tickets: There is no need to print tickets! Attendees will be checked in by name. Where To Go: Check-in takes place at the trolley by the Gothic Arch near the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street (500 25th Street). Accessibility & Safety: The Green-Wood trolley is wheelchair-accessible and ADA compliant. However, please note that some stops where you may get off the trolley are not ADA accessible.
