Welcome To Big Hoots! Students in this tier build confidence in their ability while working to reach a higher independent reading level. They incorporate reading, comprehension questions, writing prompts, grammar, sight word practice, handwriting activities and more into each class. With a capacity of 3 students, the teacher is able to work one on one with them as they each work on a personalized curriculum, curated to support the skills that need it most. This fun, music based class allows little owls to learn through music and movement, as well as activities that develop fine motor skills and introduce early alphabet, shape, and color awareness. Little ones are also introduced to an educational setting and are able to enjoy the classroom and home-like environment with their caregiver, which assists with separation as they continue their education in our higher tiers. Through play and lesson-based learning, children gain an awareness of their own minds and bodies, while also developing an awareness of those around them.

Weekends: Magic The Gathering League Play

ABOUT THE PROGRAM Ready for some exciting Magic: the Gathering competition? Kids get new Magic packs, build great decks and play matches every Friday night. They earn points for each win, and the one with the most points at the end of each season (February and June) gets a prize! If your child joins this program after the first session, we configure points to make sure they are still a contender for the season finale prize. Cards distributed during the program must remain at the Lab for duration of season. Kids can take them home at the end of the season. This program is designed for kids who know basic MTG play and rules. Winter League runs September - January. Spring League runs February - June. SCHEDULE This subscription program meets Fridays from 7pm-9pm. Due to the ongoing competitive nature of Magic League, drop-in registration is not available, but players may join the league after the beginning of the season. COST Friday Night Magic League is a subscription program costing $165/month. The subscription fee includes free MTG packs set aside for participants of the program and ensures we can plan to have enough packs for everyone. MAKEUPS If you know your child will be absent for Magic League, let us know. They will receive their MTG packs next time they attend Magic League, and we can move the registration for the date they miss to Teen Board Games Saturday or Sunday, or Sunday Showcase (Afternoon D&D or TCGs) according to their age and interests.
