After the Bell is a 90-minute studio experience thoughtfully designed to provide children with a creative reset at the end of the school day. Each session begins with time to explore our beautifully curated studio through open-ended play, sensory experiences, and creative discovery before transitioning into a guided art project led by our instructors. Every week introduces a new artistic experience inspired by contemporary artists, exceptional materials, seasonal themes, and innovative techniques. Children will explore painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, fiber arts, and more while developing confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the creative process. Every moment of Tap Dance is a celebration. Through Tap, the body becomes a rhythmic, percussive instrument in this American Art form. Through rhythmic drills, warm up, across the floor and skill-based combinations, dancers become one with the music dancing on it, through it, and around it. Energetic, dynamic and full of rhythm, these classes teach timing & execution, quick footwork, style and personality. As dancers progress though each level, standards and curriculum will become more challenging and complex. Advanced level students are given at-home & in studio research/ reflection prompts to open discussion & expose dancers to integral artists in the Tap world.
