About this event
Children ages 3-5 years and their caregivers, join Miss Dajana for an afternoon of stories, songs, movement, and crafts! All participants must be 3 years old by the date of the class. Drop in for the first 20 children.
Join New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Victoria Kann for a special celebration of her brand-new picture book, Snickerdoodle, and the 20th anniversary of Pinkalicious! Meet Snickerdoodle, an adorable new puppy who is trying very hard to fit in with his new family—and learning that sometimes the best way to belong is simply to be yourself. Victoria will read Snickerdoodle, answer questions, and play a fun game with the audience! Families can also enjoy crafts, activities, and a PINKAMAZING giveaway. Victoria will sign books as we celebrate 20 years of Pinkalicious and welcome her newest character, Snickerdoodle! Elm Street Books will be onsite selling books. Pre-order books here. We will distribute signing line wristbands to adults at event check-in the day of the event. Please register each person who will attend (adults as well as children).
Join Kurt Gallagher as he plays some favorite kids’ songs for 45 minutes of fun! Best for families with children ages 5 and under! Drop-in for the first 125 families to arrive.
Are you a writer in grades 3-5? Join Miss Rebecca to write, write, write--and get crafty too! Each month, we will explore a new genre or style of writing, take a look at some related book designs, and then write and craft to tell our own stories. Trigger your imagination with writing games and prompts, try out new writing styles, and workshop writing of your own.
Let’s come together and give back to our community! Join New Canaan CARES and New Canaan Library, with the helping hands of New Canaan Girl Scouts, to get crafty and create projects reflecting kindness and caring. Children will share their creations to bring joy to others and to themselves. This month, we will use our crafts to thank the first responders and veterans who keep us safe. New Canaan CARES is an independent, non-profit community organization whose purpose is to advance the health and well-being of youth and families. This program is in partnership with New Canaan CARES and New Canaan Library.
