About this event

First experiences at the doctor, dentist, or hairdresser can be overwhelming for young children. This storytime series is designed to celebrate these "firsts" through stories and play! Our special guest in October is Nataly Barrett, lead hygienist from Ridgefield's Tooth Fairy Pediatric Dentistry. Nataly will join us to read some books, help us practice brushing our teeth, and answer questions about what to expect at the dentist’s office. We'll end with a special craft to bring home and help children prepare for their own first experiences. Registration is required and opens on October 20, 2026. Programs like this are made possible in part by the generosity of our donors.

In 2018, she started painting. "Mostly portraits. I am interested in capturing psychological depth as well as exploring the ability of paint to capture different types of light. The subjects you see here are all friends and family, or myself. I am available for commissions, and the prices of the pieces hanging in the show are available upon request." Art exhibit in the lower level gallery show is open during regular library hours. No registration necessary.
