About this event

Join us for a special performance by the Grumbling Gryphons traveling children's theater. Anansi- the Trickster Spider is a well-known, comical character who originated in Western Africa. The tale, "How Anansi Brought the Stories Down," tells how Anansi, with the aid of the children in the audience, tricks the various animals of the jungle and retrieves the stolen stories of the world from Nyame, the Sky God. Please register every person who will attend. Recommended for grades K and up. Animal Masks designed by Ellen Moon and made by Natalie Resto will be presented as gifts to the children before the show for enhanced participation and enjoyment, thanks to the Friends of the Greenwich Library. This program is brought to us by the Friends of Greenwich Library. For programs that are 30 minutes on length, a 10 minute grace period will be given, and for programs that are 45-60 minutes in the length, a 15 minute grace period will be given. To not disturb the program, there is no admittance after the grace period.

Join us at Greenwich Library for music time with performer Tom Weber. The program will be held in Marx Family Black Box Theater on the lower level. Tom's performances are filled with interactive movement, props, singing, dancing, and lots of energetic fun! His repertoire includes original songs as well as traditional favorites. Tom’s music is intended to get children moving, singing, feeling confident, and having fun! A ticket will be required to attend the program. Tickets will be distributed starting at 10:00 am outside the Black Box Theater and doors will open at 10:25 am for this 10:30 am program. Please arrive on time at the start of the program. In order to minimize disruption to the presenter and audience, there will be no admittance allowed 10 minutes after the program has begun.
