About this event

In partnership with Magnetic Me , Imagination Station is a monthly event at Chelsea Forest Play where children step into a new world through imaginative play. Each month features a different real-world theme, with hands-on activities, sensory play, role-playing, and opportunities to explore, create, and learn together. This month, we’re opening the Woodland Wellness Clinic, where little doctors, nurses, and veterinarians can care for their forest friends through imaginative, hands-on play. How It Works 📖 Read Together We begin by gathering for a themed story that introduces the world we'll be exploring. 🌿 Step Into the Story After storytime, Curiosity Crossing transforms into an immersive play space filled with realistic props, interactive setups, and opportunities for pretend play. ✨ Explore & Discover Children move freely throughout the space, engaging in activities that encourage imagination, communication, problem-solving, sensory exploration, and real-world confidence through play. 🛝 Open Play After our 30-minute Imagination Station adventure, explorers will have 25 minutes of Open Play in the forest.

These sessions are intentionally a little calmer and geared toward toddlers and early preschoolers, with play experiences and peer interactions best suited for ages 1–3. This class is all about playful connection through songs, movement, sensory play, and simple routines. We’ll sing, dance, explore hands-on activities, and move through cozy, engaging play stations designed to spark interaction and joy. Children will have space to explore at their own pace while being gently supported to engage, imitate, and begin using words and gestures. All communication counts and is encouraged. Along the way, caregivers receive subtle modeling and coaching on how to support language through the fun you’re already having together. These sessions are relaxed, hands-on, and centered around making communication feel natural, meaningful, and fun. Each week, we’ll explore a new communication strategy through a playful theme. Themes might include seasonal explorations, movement-based play, or familiar everyday routines, all designed to create rich, meaningful opportunities for language. Strategies rotate weekly and offer simple, practical ways to support your child’s communication in everyday moments. After the 40-minute instructor led group, this class includes 15 minutes of Open Play
