About this event

Math Buddies* is hosting a math game club for elementary students at New Canaan Library. All students in grades K-4 are welcome! Students will be grouped by age and/or math ability and will participate in board and card games, as well as experiential play, that will help reinforce math skills while kids have fun! Younger students can purchase groceries and add up their totals while cashiers make change. Board games such as Math Swatters and POP will help with addition and subtraction, while Fracto and Prime Climb will emphasize multiplication, division, and fractions. Supervised by high school students, this stress-free environment aims to foster a lifelong love of math in all students, regardless of ability. *Math Buddies is a New Canaan High School student-led tutoring club made up of high-performing math and National Honor Society students.
