Children who can walk unassisted are asked to attend Toddler Storytime. There will be books, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays that will not only delight the little ones but also foster valuable early literacy skills. It’s a great opportunity for bonding and also meeting other children and caregivers in the community. *Online registration is required* Please note: Programs take place on the second floor. Join us for a special time to bond with your little one and meet other caregivers. We will explore the joys of books, songs, and gentle movement in addition to building early learning skills you can practice at home. Come prepared to sit with your child on your lap. Best for children who are pre-walkers and who prefer a gentle, slow-paced program. _______________________ 请注意,我们周一早上的 Baby Lapsit(婴儿膝上故事会) 要求参加的婴幼儿必须是还不会独立行走或需要在协助下行走的幼儿。 _______________________ ***HOW TO REGISTER*** 8 spots will be open for online registration each week, and another 8 spots will be held for walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meet us in Community Room B on the Central Level at 4 PM every Monday in September (besides Labor Day) for a storytime followed by a craft. The book and craft will be appropriate for children in PreK-2nd grade, but younger or older children are welcome to modify the craft to suit their ability. On September 21, we will read A Door is to Open by Kyo Maclear. Then, we will make miniature, peek-through doors and let our imaginations run wild.
