Westchester Children’s Museum now offers a STEAM drop-off program with fun educational hands-on exhibits, crafts and workshops. For four week-long sessios, young Explorers (ages 5-7) and Discoverers (ages 8-10) will dive into a curated schedule of workshops, creative crafts, and immersive play—all under the guidance of our dedicated staff and designed to ignite a passion for science, art, and innovation. Each session runs Monday through Friday with Morning Session (9:30am – 12:30pm) and Afternoon Session (1:00pm – 4:00pm) .

Gather together in the library with a handful of simple ingredients and get ready to create a tasty snack together with children’s librarian Ms. Lisa. Cooking with Kids meets select Mondays at 4 pm. THIS EVENT IS FOR KIDS IN KINDERGARTEN-5TH GRADE ONLY. NO YOUNGER SIBLINGS ARE PERMITTED. This event is a drop off event. The Rye Free Reading Room cannot guarantee an allergen free atmosphere and library staff do not oversee food for potential allergens. This program may involve ingredients such as dairy, nuts, tree nuts, soy, or other allergens. Those with severe allergies should be aware that allergens may be present in the library. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring children with allergies. Space is limited and preregistration is required. Signups begin one week before the program.

Calling all Graphic Novel lovers! This book club will meet monthly to read and discuss graphic novels together. Come chat, eat a snack, and do an activity inspired by each month’s book. This book club is for kids in 3rd - 5th grade. Registration is required. This month’s book: Mr. Wolf's Class by Aron Nels Steinke Registration opens four weeks before the event. Pick up your books at the front desk or children’s desk at the Rye Free Reading Room. The Rye Free Reading Room cannot guarantee an allergen free atmosphere and library staff do not oversee food for potential allergens.
