This lapsit story time for infants who are not yet crawling or walking features songs, readings, and rhymes! Babies/toddlers who are crawling or walking should only register for Toddler Times. Only lapsit babies will be admitted into this program. Walking and crawling babies will NOT be admitted. Thank you for your cooperation. Join us for story time! We will be singing songs, learning rhymes, and reading books together. Grownups, please read! Space is limited and registration is required. NEW: Registration opens 48HR before the program. There is no waitlist for the program. There are two program time options so that more people can attend the program. Please only sign up for ONE program per week. Please check in at the programming room door when you arrive. The storytime room will open 5 minutes before the program begins. If your child is antsy or crying, you are welcome to take a break and return to the program room when your child has calmed down. Please be courteous to others in the class, participate in the songs and rhymes, and keep conversation to a minimum. There is a ten minute grace period and then no late comers will be permitted.

THIS PROGRAM IS A TAKE AND MAKE CRAFT KIT. There is NOT an in person activity portion to this program. Bring your library card to check out the book and kit to take the book home to read and the kit home to make at home. Again, this is NOT an in person activity to do at the library. Join our low-stakes, self-paced Caregiver and Me Grab & Go Book Club + Craft by stopping in the children's room at library to grab the book & kit beginning September 29th at 4:30 PM. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST ; LIMITED SUPPLIES. Please note: This is a TAKE home book and craft to do with a child ages 2-8 years old and there is no actual in-person program!! Sewing and Creating en Francais

Sewing is a meditational act, a portal to creativity and self-expression. How wonderful would it be to make your own garments instead of buying them at the store? It has always been such a gift for Liza to be able to sew her own garments, choosing the fabric, the style, and the design. Liza's biggest inspiration is her mother who sewed dresses for her and her sister when they were young. We will explore questions such as: How are fabrics made? Where do they come from? What are natural and synthetic fabrics? What products from nature can be used to dye fabric? How can we reuse a piece of fabric to create a new garment? How do we measure our bodies to make sure that the clothing fits properly? This course will be taught in French.
