In this workshop specifically designed for ages 5 - 7, kids engage in self-directed play, material exploration, and project building. Our aim is for kids to be deeply engaged in activities of their choosing and we recognize that this looks different for each kid! Kids get the attention and structure they need to follow their imaginations in a supportive environment that offers freedom to create, build, dream, read, observe or just BE! Using the KoKo Lot and our reclaimed/found objects as inspiration, KoKo NYC Teaching Artists help kids imagine possibilities and bring their ideas to life. In Camp KoKo, kids may choose to use handsaws, tape, battery-operated drills, small motors, and electronics to build their projects. Pick-up available from PS 10, PS 295, and PS 321 Upper. Pick-up is an optional add-on that applies to the full semester. The cost for pick-up is $119 ($17/session). Kids are picked up by a KoKo NYC Teaching Artist at school dismissal time and escorted to the Lot. Kids have snack and playtime until the workshop begins at 3:30PM.
