Camp enrollment is for full weeks: Cirque du Surréal: Preteens ☀ Artshack Clay Summer ✦Top 10✦ Last Week of Camp is Artshack's Biggest-Funnest Spectacle! Kids explore kinetic clay sculptures and mobiles , inspired by Calder and theLast Week of Camp is Artshack's Biggest and Most Fun Spectacle! Kids explore kinetic clay sculptures and 'stabiles,' inspired by Calder and Surrealists like Leonora Carrington. They’ll build stable forms that move, spin, or sway, discovering how imagination and balance come together in playful, dreamlike constructions. All students will learn how to work with clay, including one day per week on the pottery wheel, and will use tools such as the slab roller and extruder. We have lunch on the patio outside Artshack, and often play summer games with water to cool down! At Artshack, we believe that creativity is more than just making art—it’s about the process of discovering, growing, and collaborating. Our programs are designed to help children refine their artistic voice while building resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Whether hand-building with clay, creating a solar clock through solstice-inspired projects, or designing a kite for a windy day, every activity encourages kids to experiment, take risks, and build confidence. We emphasize that it’s not just about the final piece but the joy of creating, making mistakes, and trying new things. By providing a safe, supportive environment where campers can explore different media and engage with their community, we help them grow into well-rounded, creative individuals. Cancellations made at least two weeks before the start of camp are eligible for a refund of any amount paid beyond the deposit. Cancellations within two weeks of camp are non-refundable, and we are unable to offer refunds, credits, exchanges, transfers, or make-up days for missed sessions. These policies allow us to plan responsibly, pay our Teaching Artists fairly, and secure materials and staffing in advance. As a small, independent arts organization, we can only offer these payment and refund options, and we appreciate your understanding and support. 10% Sibling Discount: If you enroll two or more siblings, you receive a 10% discount. Only one discount code can be applied to each order. ✤✤ We offer two tuition tiers to support fair teacher pay and cover costs, with scholarships for black and brown students. A 33% discount is offered for those in need.
