Rikud School’s Littles Camp is a movement-filled day rooted in creativity, culture, and play. Campers spend the day dancing, creating, and playing led by working artists and educators. While every day has its own unique theme and activities, a typical day may include: Welcome Circle & Community Check-In Songs, stories, movement games, and opportunities for children to connect with teachers and friends while introducing the day’s theme. Creative Movement & Dance Our signature Littles movement class, toddler yoga, imaginative dance, music and rhythm activities, obstacle courses, and movement games designed to build coordination, confidence, creativity, and body awareness. Morning Snack Outdoor Exploration Backyard play featuring bubbles, chalk, water play (weather permitting), nature exploration, sensory activities, gross motor games, and open-ended play. Lunch (packed from home) Rest & Quiet Time A calm period with books, soft music, dimmed lights, and cozy rest mats to help children recharge. Guided Arts & Creative Exploration Process-based art projects using paint, collage, clay, drawing, printmaking, sensory materials, and other age-appropriate mediums that encourage creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression. Afternoon Snack Choice Time Children are invited to explore music, instruments, dramatic play, blocks, sensory bins, drawing, books, collaborative games, and freestyle movement while teachers support independent play and social development. Closing Circle & Pick-Up Storytime, songs, reflection on the day’s adventures, and a calm transition home. Our schedule is intentionally flexible to follow the interests, energy, and developmental needs of our youngest participants while maintaining a comforting daily rhythm. A detailed agenda and any trip or meal information will be circulated prior to camp. No mirrors. No recital pressure. Just movement, creativity, culture, and community.
