Barking Cat Studio Arts & Crafts for Kids · Windsor Terrace
Young artists explore fun new art techniques while learning about other professional artists to help inspire their own art. We may virtually visit museums or galleries or watch an artist work as we learn new ways of artmaking and expressing ourselves. In this weekly 2-hour class, kids learn teamwork, problem-solving and self-esteem-building, all while creating fun and engaging art projects. Our classes are small–just 9 kids. Living Atelier: Wonder Play Play and curiosity are the habits of the artist. In this after-school experience, children draw, sculpt, tinker, and transform a rich collection of open-ended materials as they discover hidden worlds within their own imaginations. Through sensory exploration, loose parts play, storytelling, and time in nature, children develop ideas, test possibilities, and create stories all their own. Our studio and Prospect Park become a living atelier—a landscape for following children's natural urges to wonder, invent, and create. Designed for children who thrive when given the freedom to explore materials in their own way, this small cohort celebrates imagination, friendship, and the joy of growing through play.
