Join Le Meraviglie Art Camp this summer for an immersive world of creativity and wonder! Led by artist Piera Bonerba, this engaging program for children aged 5 to 11 features a special cooking workshop on Fridays, where children will make their own lunch together! What to Expect: Each week delves into different artists and art forms—drawing, painting, collage, music, and dance—grouped by age for tailored experiences. Campers will have the opportunity to explore various artistic techniques and mediums, encouraging them to express their unique creativity. Through hands-on projects, children will learn about color theory, composition, and the importance of storytelling in art. Art activities are designed to spark imagination and inspire self-expression. For younger children, workshops will focus on sensory exploration and basic techniques, using materials like clay, paint, and recycled objects to create imaginative works. Older campers will dive deeper into their artistic journey, experimenting with advanced techniques such as printmaking, mixed media, and digital art. The camp fosters a collaborative environment where children can share ideas, engage in constructive feedback, and build confidence in their artistic abilities. Group activities will focus on teamwork and creativity, allowing campers to work together on projects that celebrate their collective talents. Age Groupings: To ensure age-appropriate experiences, children will be split into two distinct groups: • Group 1: Ages 5-7 • Art Workshops: Focus on basic techniques and sensory exploration through fun, hands-on projects that encourage creativity and self-discovery. • Group Activities: Simple, collaborative games and storytime that promote teamwork and friendship among young artists. • Group 2: Ages 8-11 • Art Workshops: Introduce more advanced techniques and concepts, allowing for individual expression and deeper exploration of various mediums. Projects may include painting, sculpting, and experimenting with mixed media. • Group Activities: Engaging, team-building projects and discussions that encourage critical thinking and leadership skills, helping campers articulate their creative ideas and collaborate effectively. Daily Schedule (9 AM - 3 PM): • 9:00 AM | Drop Off • 9:00 - 9:10 AM | Introduction & Free Draw • 9:10 - 9:20 AM | Community Circle • 9:20 - 9:30 AM | Packing for Park • 9:30 - 11:30 AM | Outdoor fun at the parks (picnic snack, art, games) • 11:30 - 12:00 PM | Return to Studio & Lunch • 12:30 - 1:00 PM | Story Time • 1:10 - 3:00 PM | Art Workshop & Explorative Art Centers (with snack break) • 3:00 PM | Gallery Walk & Pick up Families can enroll for one week, multiple weeks, or the entire summer, with discounts available for those booking three weeks or more. Early drop-off at 8:30 AM and extended day options until 4 PM (or 5 PM) are available for a fee. Don’t miss the chance for your child to unleash their creativity and imagination this summer! For families with siblings: We offer a 15% sibling discount!
