Each session brings a new corner of AI to life, from natural language processing and generative AI to robotics, recommendation systems, and pattern recognition. AI Literacy for the Digital Age is a hands-on course designed for students who want to understand the technology shaping their world — no coding experience required. Through interactive, browser-based activities, students will explore the core ideas behind artificial intelligence by actually using real AI systems: training their own image classifiers, competing against neural networks, debating whether AI should make decisions in hiring and healthcare, and learning to spot deep fakes and AI-generated content. Each session brings a new corner of AI to life, from natural language processing and generative AI to robotics, recommendation systems, and pattern recognition. We will provide ten laptops for participants, but you may attend with your own device if preferred.
