KIN Bridge Overview Dates: April 6 – June 12 Time: 9:30–11:30 AM (2-hour program) Room: Star Room Schedule Options: 2–4 days per week Group & Staffing The group includes 8–10 children with three teachers. A caregiver accompanies the child initially; however, we work on gentle, developmentally appropriate separation throughout the series, always guided by each child's readiness and confidence—often beginning within the room perimeter and gradually expanding outward. Our Approach: The Stewart Method Toddler Bridge is grounded in The Stewart Method, our educational philosophy developed at Perry School over 25 years of hands-on work with children and families. The Stewart Method blends: • Reggio-inspired, child-led inquiry • Intentional structure and rhythm that support independence • Deep respect for the child as a capable learner • Carefully scaffolded social-emotional growth • Learning through movement, music, art, and sensory exploration Children are offered meaningful choices within a thoughtfully prepared environment, allowing curiosity, confidence, and connection to grow naturally. Curriculum & Daily Experience Toddler Bridge includes all core elements of our KIN pathway programming, intentionally woven together through The Stewart Method: • Music • KIN Move (gross motor development, coordination, body awareness) • KIN Studio (process-based art and sensory exploration) • KIN Think (early literacy, early math concepts, and critical thinking) • Social-emotional development • Cooperative play and early classroom routines Children have their own dedicated classroom environment, and teachers actively observe and respond to emerging interests, creating a warm, responsive learning experience that evolves with the group. By the end of Toddler Bridge, children are typically well-prepared to enter a more independent preschool setting with confidence and ease. Enrollment & Availability We are currently close to capacity, with only a few spots remaining.
