Aikido is a well-rounded and rigorous non-violent Martial Art training experience that includes warm-up and conditioning exercises, Ukemi practice (the art of falling), wooden weapons practice (Bokken and Jo), open-handed aikido techniques, games, and meditation. Children are encouraged to develop a growth mindset without unnecessary competition. Testing for a new belt level happens 3 times a year. As at any true martial art dojo children can freely attend some or all classes within their schedule.

Book a time with Calvin Agran and choose from below: Private Session: A one hour private training session with one of our expert coaches. After your child completes their evaluation session, our coaches will work with you and your child to develop a holistic program to address your child's specific strengths and weaknesses. Semi Private Session: A one hour private training session with one of our expert coaches designed for up to 3 athletes, for ideal results we recommend the athletes be of a similar age and skill level. After your child completes their evaluation session, our coaches will work with you and your child to develop a holistic program to address your child's specific strengths and weaknesses. Evaluation: A one hour one on one session beginning with a dynamic warmup, followed by a series of tests of your child's athletic skills. Th is evaluation helps us learn which specific areas your child needs to work on to take their athletic performance to the next level, as well as provide a baseline to look back at as they improve. Some examples of exercises we will test are Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, 10yd sprint time, 20yd shuttle, max pull-ups.

Our Visual Art program is designed especially for young beginners (ages 3–8) to discover the joy of art-making while building confidence as creative storytellers. In this well-designed curriculum, children will: • Explore Materials – From acrylic and pastels to clay, collage, and printmaking, Children will get hands-on experience with a variety of art tools and textures. • Meet Great Artists – Children will be introduced to the inspiring artists from both Western and Eastern traditions. They will be amazed at how these artists used color, line, shape, and form to express their ideas. • Tell Stories Through Art – Children will love this opportunity to express their unique personalities and stories through art. They will have a blast visual journaling, creating comic zines, collages, designing characters with clay, and playing with printmaking. • Grow as Young Artists – By engaging with diverse artistic approaches, children will not only develop art skills and creative thinking but also gain an early appreciation of visual culture.
