Step into The Wild Wacky World of Sports, a joyful after school class where students get to play a new and unexpected sport each week! From Foxtail to Human Foosball to Flying Chicken Baseball, and other off-the-beaten-path favorites, this class is all about movement, fun, and trying something totally different. Each session introduces a fresh game for students to jump right into, with an emphasis on teamwork, laughter, and playful exploration for all ages. The semester ends with a lighthearted “Wacky World Championship,” revisiting the group’s favorite games of the season.

The imaginative class offers a unique blend of improvisation, dance, music, storytelling, non-competitive games, and various art forms to explore the body as a powerful tool for self-expression. Led by an experienced dance teaching artist and former professional dancer, the class is grounded in principles of child development, promoting physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Through enjoyable movement activities, students will build body awareness and deepen their connection to the world around them, while discovering the elements of dance in a fun and engaging way. Each child’s individuality is celebrated in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. No prior dance experience is needed! This class is ideal for children interested in movement, acting, or music, and serves as a wonderful introduction to the world of dance.

Journalism (Spring 2026)

In Journalism, students will learn how to ask the right questions, gather information, organize ideas, and format & edit stories for their student paper, The Claver Castle Press, which is handwritten and produced by this class (one issue per session). Writing can be intimidating for some, but it's also rewarding, especially when communicating with the whole school! Some work outside of class is required, especially as the journalists approach publication, but they will collaborate as a team to work with each reporter's strengths.
