About this event

Wearable Art is a creative, hands-on art camp where fashion meets imagination. Campers will transform everyday materials into one-of-a-kind accessories and clothing they can actually wear and use. From bold designs to playful details, this camp celebrates self-expression through art you can take with you. Throughout the week, artists will explore a variety of mixed-media projects, including clay and bead keychains, DIY t-shirt designs, fabric painting, and custom tote bag printing. Campers will learn basic techniques for working with textiles and sculptural materials while experimenting with color, pattern, and personal style. Perfect for kids who love to make, decorate, and show off their creativity, Wearable Art encourages confidence, originality, and hands-on fun—ending the week with a collection of wearable pieces that are as unique as the artists who made them. Camp will run 9am-3pm, with optional early drop off at 8:30am and extended day until 5pm. Our camps have a max of 15 students per date. Three Private Picassos’ Art Teachers will lead each camp.

Toddler Dance Class @ Private Picassos Join us for a weekly dance class, designed for toddlers to move, stretch and play. Taught by Ava Golner, who brings over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages but with a special focus on young dancers. She earned her BA in Ballet from Point Park University, performing with Lake Erie Ballet and competing in the Youth America Grand Prix. Alongside her professional career with Danceworks Performance Company and Catey Ott Dance Collective, Ava has taught at numerous schools, including the Milwaukee Ballet School and Academy, where she began her training, and Cobble Hill Ballet. She is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dancers through a love of movement, creative play, and artistry.

Let your toddler explore baby-safe art supplies in our unstructured Art Playgroup! Each week, we'll set up a new art prompt at our large tables for your child to explore. Think homemade play dough, liquid watercolors paintings, yogurt & food coloring finger paint and faux stained glass collages. Whenever your toddler is ready to move their body, they can switch tothe floor, where each week we arrange dot markers, stickers, giant crayons and sensory materials for kids to explore. This playgroup is perfect for babies who are still exploring with their mouth. Come dressed for a mess! Just a reminder that this playgroup is an unstructured art program and is not guided by our Art Teacher.

We'll strengthen students' fine motor skills and ability to represent the world around them.
