Okinawa Day 2026 will be at active studios nyc on Sunday June 14 from 2 - 5 PM. The children from my karate classes in different schools will be attending with their families. We will have yoga, kung fu and karate teachers to demostrate how yoga evolved to kung fu and how kung ful evolved to karate on okinawa. We will have a caligrapher, okinawan dancer /musician/historian to talk about the history and culture of Okinawa and how karate is related to okinawan dance, orgami and japanese snacks.
