AI: Coding and Application This course introduces students ages 7–9 to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and applied machine learning through hands-on projects. Using Teachable Machine , students will create and train custom datasets to build image and sound recognition models, gaining an understanding of supervised learning and classification algorithms . They will then integrate these AI models into Scratch-based projects , developing interactive applications such as sorters, chatbots, and games. Along the way, they’ll explore neural network architecture , input/output mapping , and the role of training data quality in model performance. The program also incorporates AI ethics and responsible use , helping students recognize the implications of bias in datasets and the importance of transparent, fair AI systems. By the end of the semester, each student will have a portfolio of AI-integrated applications and a foundational grasp of how machine learning models are designed, trained, and deployed in real-world scenarios.
