About this event
Skateboarding is an active, confidence building skateboarding class for students in 3rd through 5th grade focused on fundamentals, safety, and steady progression. Students will learn how to ride with control, start and stop safely, balance, turn, push properly, and build comfort on the board through structured drills and games. As skills grow, students can progress to more advanced techniques such as carving, riding over small obstacles, basic ramps (space permitting), and beginner tricks like tic tacs, kick turns, and ollies, all taught at an age appropriate pace. This class emphasizes respect, patience, and encouragement, with a strong focus on safety habits, body awareness, and learning how to fall safely. Whether a student is brand new or already cruising, each child will set personal goals and track progress throughout the session, leaving with stronger skills, more confidence, and a love for movement.
