Handcraft Studio by Luna de Papel (After School Drop-Off) Ready to go beyond “craft time” and actually learn a handcraft ? In Handcraft Studio , students choose a focus area -- sewing, crochet, weaving, knitting or painting -- and follow a supportive, skill-building curriculum that grows week by week. Each class includes a clear mini-lesson, guided practice, and a project that helps students master the fundamentals while creating something they’re proud to take home. How it works - Pick a pathway: Sewing • Crochet • Weaving • Knitting • Painting - Learn the basics: tools + materials, safety, foundational techniques - Build confidence through projects: each project reinforces one or two new skills - Progress at your pace: beginners welcome; returning students level up with more advanced patterns and techniques What students will learn (examples) - Sewing: threading a needle, basic stitches, seams, simple patterns, finishing techniques - Crochet/Knitting: tension, foundation chains/casts, basic stitches, shaping, finishing - Weaving: loom setup, warp/weft, patterning, texture, fringe & finishing Perfect for kids who love working with their hands and want a class that feels more like a real maker studio, with structure, progress, and pride in what they create.
