The New York Public Library partners with accredited social work colleges across the city to connect you with students who can help provide resources about social services -- housing, short-term shelter, food assistance, healthcare, and more -- in your community. During the listed hours you can drop in to meet with the student intern one-on-one (first come, first served). The Spring semester ends May 16. Check back in September for Fall semester hours. Mondays 9 AM - 12:30 PM + 4 - 6 PM Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30 PM Wednesdays 5 - 8:30 PM Fridays 9 AM - 12:30 PM no hours May 8 Saturdays 12 - 6 PM (closed for lunch ~ 2-3 PM) 3rd Floor | Room 305 and/or Room 306 Hours are subject to change or cancellation

Our Toddler Transitions program is designed to support young children as they take important steps towards independence. This 3-hour session provides a nurturing environment where toddlers can develop essential skills, including easing separation from family, fostering social interactions, and building emotional resilience. Through guided play, sensory activities, and gentle encouragement, children are given the tools they need to confidently navigate new experiences. Whether it's preparing for preschool or simply gaining confidence in new settings, Toddler Transitions offers a safe and supportive space for every child's unique journey.

Enjoy independent play at The Rainbow for 2 hours without the need for a membership! Each pass covers one child and one adult. You are 100% responsible for your child / children when at The Rainbow. The Rainbow is a SHOES OFF & SOCKS ON environment in order to ensure maximum cleanliness for our tiny friends! NYC Parks invites viewers to discover their inner-outside voice in the lustrous oil paintings of Staten Island-based artist Sarah Yuster, on view at the Arsenal Gallery in Central Park this Spring. From Isabella Rossellini, champion of the Ramble in Central Park, to Myisha Humphrey, Staten Island nursery operations supervisor for NYC Parks, Sarah Yuster: Outside Voices features “in situ” portraits of biological science professionals, ecological conservation activists, and hobbyists.
