It's our sixth (!) annual Summer Jam! Celebrate the end of summer with folk songs on the lawn. Join renowned local musician Peter Calo, plus Eric Havorson on drums and Paul Adamy on bass, for an intimate and informal evening. Rain or shine! We'll be on the front lawn of the the Croton Free Library if weather allows, and in the Ottinger Room if not. No tickets required. All ages welcome. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on, if the weather's good!

Come to the Library for an in-person support group for new parents and their babies! This group offers community, support, and solace for parents at the beginning of their journeys. It is led by Beth Villeneuve IBCLC, a licensed pediatric nurse and mother of seven. Beth also holds a Bachelor of Science in Maternal Child Health and Human Lactation. Different feeding styles will be discussed, and there are no feeding-style requirements or expectations to attend. And parents of all genders are welcomed with open arms! Free and open to all. Join NIA practitioner Melanie Duke to celebrate the evening of the autumn equinox! We'll learn NIA dance to music that honors indigenous culture in a time of balance, gratitude, and preparation for the upcoming quieter winter, reflect on the circular nature of life when daylight and night time are equal in length, and harmonize our breath through that of the land we walk upon. New to NIA? No problem! It involves easy-to-follow movements that focus on combining big body moves with small and focused steps, creating a free and joyful hour of dance. An open mind and a willingness to move the way your body wants to move are the only requirements. Free and open to all! This program is appropriate for anyone ages 8 to 88. BIO Melanie Duke has taught NIA dance in Italy, France, and the Netherlands, as well as the United States. She currently teaches at the JCC in DeWitt, NY, and she finds true joy in each dancer moving in their unique, lovely, beautiful body.
