Chelsea Forest Play

This is a 50-minute Open Play session with a larger arrival window. Come whenever works best for you within that time and enjoy up to 50 minutes of play. Booking ahead is still required to hold your spot. Come play your way in a space where every child belongs. Your child’s daily dose of discovery awaits, whether through quiet exploration, active play, or creative adventures. Our space welcomes all children with thoughtfully crafted zones for art, reading, gross motor play, imaginative adventures, and sensory exploration. Siblings under 6 months join for free, while those over 6 months have their own spot to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-paced experience for all!

Chelsea Forest Play

This class is all about playful connection through songs, movement, sensory play, and simple routines. We’ll sing, dance, explore hands-on activities, and move through cozy, engaging play stations designed to spark interaction and joy. Children will have space to explore at their own pace while being gently supported to engage, imitate, and begin using words and gestures. All communication counts and is encouraged. Along the way, caregivers receive subtle modeling and coaching on how to support language through the fun you’re already having together. These sessions are relaxed, hands-on, and centered around making communication feel natural, meaningful, and fun. Each week, we’ll explore a new communication strategy through a playful theme. Themes might include seasonal explorations, movement-based play, or familiar everyday routines, all designed to create rich, meaningful opportunities for language. Strategies rotate weekly and offer simple, practical ways to support your child’s communication in everyday moments. After the 40-minute instructor led group, this class includes 15 minutes of Open Play

Mini Session Open Play: Babies

*To help keep our littlest guests healthy, we do a quick temperature check for all babies and adults at arrival, and we’ll gladly offer a credit if anyone is feeling under the weather.* Join us for a Mini Baby Open Play session, with all the fun and exploration of open play in a shorter, half-hour format that’s just right for little ones. Come play your way in a calm, welcoming session created just for our youngest explorers and their caregivers. While Chelsea Forest Play is often shared with toddlers and preschoolers, this open play is reserved exclusively for pre-walkers. During this session, we swap out our older play materials for age-appropriate toys that support tummy time, early movement, and gentle sensory exploration, all without the hustle of bigger bodies or busier play. This is a place to stretch out on the floor, watch your baby observe and interact, and connect with other caregivers. Whether your baby is lying, rolling, sitting, or simply taking it all in, they are welcome exactly as they are. Is your little one confidently walking? Check out our regular Open Play sessions!
