With fun take-home projects each week, kids will explore big ideas in science and design—while developing creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills along the way. Explore the world of movement, mechanics, and electricity in this hands-on class that combines circuits with classic engineering! Students will discover how simple machines and electrical systems power the world around us—from light switches to moving toys and vehicles. Each week, we’ll tackle fun builds using real components like batteries, LEDs, switches, gears, cams, and linkages. Projects include things like paper circuit art , fan-powered cars , and mechanical contraptions that really move. As they build, students will learn key science and engineering concepts such as voltage, current, positive and negative charge, mechanical advantage, and design iteration. By combining electrical and mechanical systems , this class helps students understand how things work—and gives them the confidence to invent their own! Note: This class contains take-home projects that contain a CR2032 Coin Cell Battery
