About this event
A special yoga session! Join yoga instructor Shivani Singh and her daughter Shyla for an outdoor yoga and mobility class overlooking the beautiful Hudson River. This free class welcomes donations, with all proceeds supporting Teach For America as part of Shyla’s marathon fundraising journey. Come breathe, stretch, relax, and make a meaningful impact on education. After class, enjoy chai and enter a raffle! Cost: FREE Please bring a yoga mat and water and arrive at least 15 minutes early to account for the 10-minute walk to the site. Tick/insect repellent is advised. Classes are at Rockwood Hall, DO NOT go to the main entrance. The parking lot is on Kendal Way off route 117, just after the intersection of Phelps and Regeneron. If the lot is full, you may park in the Phelps garage (free). Come see the Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow! Join staff at the open house for a look inside the lighthouse and to learn about what life was like for the keepers. Drop-in, self-led program. Groups of 8 or more must pre-register. The Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow is located at Kingsland Point Park off Palmer Avenue. Park at Kingsland Point Park. The lighthouse is accessed by a 10 minute stroll south along the Riverwalk path. The five story structure includes four narrow stairways. Note that there are no restrooms in the lighthouse; restrooms are available at Kingsland Point Park.
