Rikud School’s Closed Camp is a movement-filled day rooted in creativity, culture, and play. Campers spend the day dancing, creating, exploring the neighborhood, and building community in a relaxed, high-energy environment led by working artists and educators. While each camp day has its own theme and agenda, a typical day may include: • Welcome circle + community check-in • Dance Class #1 (hip-hop, breaking, house, movement games, etc.) • Snack break • Outdoor local adventure (playground, backyard, neighborhood exploration, water play, etc.) • Lunch (packed from home or provided for an extra charge) • Dance Class #2, craft project, or cultural activity • Choice time with music, games, freestyle movement, drawing, reading, and collaborative play Rikud camps are intentionally designed to balance structure and freedom. Kids move their bodies, make friends, learn dance styles rooted in street and club culture, and spend meaningful time both indoors and outside. A detailed agenda and any trip or meal information will be circulated prior to camp. No mirrors. No recital pressure. Just movement, creativity, culture, and community.
