Minecraft Stop Motion Animation Lights, Camera… Minecraft! In this hands-on course, students step into the role of director and animator, bringing their favorite Minecraft characters and scenes to life using LEGO bricks and the Stop Motion Studio app. They’ll learn the core elements of filmmaking—storyboarding, sequencing, and camera techniques—while practicing patience, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving. Throughout the semester, students will: Build and design Minecraft-inspired LEGO sets Develop storyboards to plan out scenes (a skill that also strengthens essay and narrative writing) Learn sequencing to understand how stories flow logically Practice LEGO engineering for stable builds and smooth animation Use the Stop Motion Studio app to capture and edit footage Add sound, effects, and polish to complete their films By the end of the program, each student will have a portfolio of short clips and a longer film project—plus the skills to keep creating at home. Most importantly, they’ll be learning new technical and creative skills using something they already love: LEGO and Minecraft. This makes the class highly engaging and ensures maximum learning benefits in a fun, inspiring environment. *Make-ups and cancelations: For semester registrations only one make-up class per month is allowed with a 24hr cancellation notice. Intro to Robotics is an 8-week introductory course designed to make learning fun for kids! This course focuses on robotics, engineering, coding, physics, and math.
