AI: Coding and Application This course introduces students ages 7–9 to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and applied machine learning through hands-on projects. Using Teachable Machine , students will create and train custom datasets to build image and sound recognition models, gaining an understanding of supervised learning and classification algorithms . They will then integrate these AI models into Scratch-based projects , developing interactive applications such as sorters, chatbots, and games. Along the way, they’ll explore neural network architecture , input/output mapping , and the role of training data quality in model performance. The program also incorporates AI ethics and responsible use , helping students recognize the implications of bias in datasets and the importance of transparent, fair AI systems. By the end of the semester, each student will have a portfolio of AI-integrated applications and a foundational grasp of how machine learning models are designed, trained, and deployed in real-world scenarios. Skills & Competencies: Supervised machine learning principles Dataset creation, labeling, and training Neural network basics (layers, weights, activation) Integrating AI models with Scratch programming Interactive application development Understanding AI limitations, bias, and ethics *Make-ups and cancelations: For semester registrations only one make-up class per month is allowed with a 24hr cancellation notice. This is a Montessori-based program designed for toddlers and preschoolers. (Recommended 1,5 years to 3 years) It supports and stimulates your child's early development and school readiness. We use a variety of authentic Montessori materials, techniques, methods, and approaches as we encourage your child's growth in a fun and engaging learning environment. In this program, we follow four primary areas that provide the foundation for learning and development in a Montessori classroom. Practical life activities are designed to mirror real-life experiences that children will encounter in their daily lives. The Sensorial area of the Montessori classroom is designed to develop children’s skills in perception and discrimination. It includes live music and art. The Language area of the Montessori classroom builds early literacy skills by providing varied opportunities for children to develop communication skills and phonetic awareness. The Math area of the Montessori classroom is characterized by concrete, hands-on materials that encourage children to recognize numbers and quantity. With adult-led activities, we expand and develop your child's cognitive, social, emotional, communication, fine motor, gross motor, adaptive and sensory skills. The Little Explorer Level 1 program was designed to offer our young students everything they need at their developmental stage in one place. Children all develop at different paces, and they have different strengths and interests. While in a traditional education every child in the class must follow one path set out by the teacher, a Montessori education follows the individual child's interests using observation. Every activity, including transitions between activities, facilitates exploration as we teach your child to solve problems, understand and use language, explore his or her surroundings, develop hand-eye coordination and increase attention span and memory. We also provide peer play time to encourage social interactions. Likewise, caregivers are invited to participate, ask questions and learn more about childhood early development. New This Fall: Monthly Registration! Enjoy flexible, month-to-month enrollment—no long-term commitment required. We understand how unpredictable your little one’s schedule can be. You’ll be automatically charged on the 1st of each month. Cancel anytime—just give us notice at least one month before your next billing cycle. Welcome to our Robotics class for young innovators aged 5-6 at The Renaissance Child! We are excited to offer a course that introduces the fascinating world of robotics in a way that is just right for young learners.
