About this event

This ensemble jumps into the rehearsal process with a focus on scripted scene study. We meet each actor where they are, and build a company of skilled performers; centering bravery, imagination and truthfulness. Improvisation and theater games help stoke creativity, develop the company and the spirit of play. Taught by master teachers and performers at the top of their field, kids learn skills that will serve them the rest of their creative lives. Camp culminates in a live performance for families on Friday afternoon. A group of people including a celebrity chef, a professor and circus performers have been brought together by a reclusive millionaire. When their host disappears, the group must use their special skills to solve the mystery. Can the detectives work together and decode the clues before it's too late? In this original script by Brandon Zelman, kids work on scenes, develop back stories, solve riddles and improvise for more spooky-spoofy-fun. The play is performed live on Friday, August 14 at 2:30p. Fort Greene camps meet at 138 South Oxford Street, with visits to South Oxford Playground.
