📍A Rosie Day · 338 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY

About this event

To attend camp, your child must be four years old. If you sign up and they’re younger, you won’t get a refund. We have waitlists and turn families away, which we prefer not to. Welcome to Holiday Camp at A Rosie Day Studio, your child's creative home! Here, we joyfully explore art without pressure, diving into new themes and techniques each day. From designing mosaics, from weaving with colorful fibers, to creating vibrant collages, exploring mixed media, and crafting handmade books, our camp is a perfect adventure for every burgeoning artist! Our days are a happy blend of creation and active play. We believe fresh air is key to a creative mind, so we love getting outside for playground bonding and inspiration! We will visit wonderful local spots like Grand Street Playground, and take special trips to the amazing Domino Park. We are also eagerly looking forward to adding Berry Park to our rotation as soon as its construction is finished!

This afterschool program encourages kids to brainstorm, explore, collaborate, and create in a space that feels like a true working art lab. We also listened closely to our current artists, who have shared with their teachers how much they love the idea of developing their own collaborative focus as they grow and learn together as a group. This feedback has shaped Art Lab in a beautiful way, giving kids ownership, agency, and a voice in the direction of our studio projects. During programming, children dive into open-ended, process-based projects shaped by their interests. They will explore a wide range of elevated mediums including mixed-media collage, painting, sculpture, clay work, printmaking, weaving, upcycled art, installation building, design challenges, and collaborative group pieces.
