Origami Studio is a hands on class for students in 3rd through 5th grade where kids learn the art of paper folding and turn simple squares of paper into impressive creations. Each week, students will practice core folding techniques while building projects that grow in challenge over time, from classic shapes like cranes, frogs, and boats to stars, animals, flowers, and modular designs. Along the way, students will strengthen focus, patience, and problem solving as they follow visual instructions, learn how precise folds change outcomes, and experiment with pattern, color, and symmetry. Projects may also include creative add ons like decorating folded pieces, building origami scenes, and creating functional items such as bookmarks or small gift boxes.

Each week, kids will learn simple layout techniques like layering, borders, journaling, and photo placement while building pages that tell a story. Projects may include themed spreads such as “All About Me,” friendships, family traditions, favorite places, and goals for the future. This class strengthens storytelling, organization, and artistic confidence as students experiment with color, texture, typography, and mixed materials. By the end of the session, each child will have a personalized scrapbook they can proudly take home and continue adding to.
