Discovery Kids Pre-K Afterschool at PS 770 Give your child a fun, nurturing, and enriching end to their school day with Discovery Kids Pre-K Afterschool at PS 770! Designed specifically for Pre-K students, our program provides a safe and engaging environment where children can learn, create, play, and build friendships. Each afternoon includes a balance of hands-on enrichment, creative expression, movement, and social-emotional learning. Children will enjoy age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, STEM exploration, music and movement, dramatic play, sensory activities, outdoor play, and cooperative games that encourage curiosity, confidence, and independence. Our experienced and caring instructors create a warm classroom community where every child feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to explore a variety of interests. Program Highlights: Daily enrichment activities Social-emotional learning and friendship building Hands-on sensory and creative experiences Safe and supportive environment Convenient on-site care at PS 770 Monday – Art Studio 🎨 Children explore a variety of creative materials and techniques while developing self-expression, fine motor skills, and imagination. Tuesday – Soccer ⚽ Young athletes build coordination, teamwork, and confidence through age-appropriate soccer activities, games, and movement challenges. Wednesday – STEM Explorers 🧪 Students investigate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts through hands-on experiments, building challenges, and discovery-based learning. Thursday – Theater & Film 🎭 Families choose Theater or Film class - children bring stories to life through dramatic play, creative movement, character development, and introductory filmmaking activities. Friday – Game Lab or Bilingual Arts 🎲 Depending on enrollment, students will either enjoy Game Lab, featuring cooperative games and social-emotional learning activities, or Bilingual Arts, where children explore language and culture through creative projects and storytelling. In addition to daily enrichment, children enjoy free play, socialization, and opportunities to practice important kindergarten-readiness skills. At Discovery Kids, afterschool is more than childcare—it's a place where children can discover new passions, express their creativity, and end each school day with joy.
