About this event

TTRPGs are coming to the Roosevelt Island Library! We'll be running a game ceneterd in teh Call of Cthulhu system, which is storytelling forward, easy to learn, spooky and kooky. Your Gamemaster Brian (one of the Teen Librarians) will be running the game. You can create a charcater, pick from pre-made characters, and see what happens when the choices you make are weighed against the roll of dice! It's like choose your-own-advanture, but with whatever choices you want to make, with enemies to defeat or outsmart, and with characters you get to talk to and interact with in however which way you want. It is absolutely classic gaming, physical, tangeable, a kind of entertainment that videogames largely monopolized, but one that's coming back in a gigantic way thanks to YouTube channels like Critical Role and Dimension 20. In fact, Dimension 20 literally *sold out* Madison Square Garden the other year.* So come on by! It's really really fun. *Also, the guy who runs Dimension 20, Brennan Lee Mulligan, was my Improv teacher 10 years ago, so I learned from the best.
