Design it. Print it. Pitch it. In this hands-on class, students level up their 3D printing skills while learning what it takes to turn ideas into real products—and even a small business. From desk organizers with hidden compartments to custom game pieces or tech accessories, students will prototype, test, and produce 3D-printed creations they can take home and show off. Students will explore advanced design techniques including: Print-in-place mechanics for moving parts Multicolor printing (up to 8 colors!) Design for function and style Using slicing software for efficient prints Troubleshooting for print success Alongside design and engineering, students will dive into entrepreneurship fundamentals , including: How to price a product Tracking costs, income, and profit Creating a product pitch Branding basics and visual presentation Thinking like a maker and a business owner Perfect for young creators ready to bring their ideas to life—and think like future inventors, designers, and entrepreneurs.
