About kids' events in Palisades Park
Getting out with a small kid here usually means a short walk to a local playground or the Palisades Park Public Library. The library is the anchor for free toddler time, and their storytimes are the kind of low-pressure outing that works whether your kid sits still for five minutes or twenty. On the calendar right now, there are a couple of storytime sessions and a STEM craft called "Circuit Bugs" that leans into science play for slightly older tots. In warmer months, NYC Parks runs outdoor movies, like "Movies Under the Stars: Lilo & Stitch," which is a low-key evening option if your child can handle a later bedtime. One active studio in town also hosts classes, so there is at least one private indoor option beyond the free stuff. Getting here is straightforward. The town is car-first, with parking generally easy at the library and along main streets, though you will want to drive rather than rely on transit. Bergen County’s suburban layout means you will buckle and unbuckle a lot, but destinations are close together. For a morning out, a library storytime and a nearby playground makes a complete loop.
